Netflix’s “High Score” is a six part docuseries that explores the world of gaming. From the humble arcade to sold out e-sports competitions. A great watch for those gaming enthusiasts both young and old. Dive into the history of gaming giants such as Nintendo, Sega and Electronic Arts.

Each episode delves into the development of early arcade games and how they evolved. With interviews from the industries top dogs and iconic figures such as Tomohiro Nishikado, creator of Space Invaders, Toru Iwatani, creator of Pac-Man and SEGA of America CEO Tom Kalinske. In further episodes, the documentary explores the world of RPG’s (Role-Playing Games), Fighting Games, the introduction of 3D visuals and First Person Shooter Games.

“High Score” also includes the origins of games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Invaders, Mario and Pac-Man. Exploring their influences and the war between the companies who created them.
